Welcome, Aboriginal Shamanists!

Once each month, WE DRUM, DANCE, AND DREAM: three words that describe the Cunkuri ritual of the Kung-San tribe to "Wake Up our Mother/Father God." Ecstatic dance represents the first joyful connection we had with God during the millennia prior to agriculture when we lived nomadically in perfect tune with nature's rhythms. Said in the terminology of the profound new "Evolutionary Psychology", it is the original way of connecting with God before the human animal built an artificial zoo around itself. IT'S THE PURE, UNPOLLUTED "SPRING WATER" OF HUMAN SPIRITUALITY!

But this is no "dry" lecture or boring church service. Cunkuri awakens the youthful spirit in us all! We dance to make the "BOILING NUM ENERGY" rise up through our bodies to put us in the "KIA" state of ecstatic joy. Cunkuri has 4 parts: WE CIRCLE to express the healing intent each might have that night; WE DANCE JOYOUSLY in free-form to the hypnotic spell of ancient tribal music (often acting out our "totem animals"); WE TAKE A "DAYDREAM WALKABOUT" and journey back to our primal core; then, recircling, WE SHARE OUR DREAMS. Often "a child shall lead". Being closer to the source, their dreams are often the most profound!
