The weather is going to be beautiful and the energy high! Now that we have a good group of participants who have come more than once, I would like to see some of you show interest in taking responsibility for different necessary areas: Bath house Setup/ Clean up, Lodge area Setup/ Clean up, Wood and fire prep, Fire Keeper and assistant to Fire Keeper/ Fire Goddess, Lodge prep and covering, and Door way assistant and water steward, assisting with feast set up and clean up crew after lodge.
Earth Prayers and Affirmations will be made, Sacred fire fashioned and water pored in a good way. We will also be offering for this sweat an intensive Chakra meditation with Pranayama and focused breathing to generate balancing energies. This ceremony will be made clear for beginners and elders alike. All good people are welcome.
This will be a terrific opportunity to join, participate and receive the blessings of the earth lodge and healing ceremony. We will build a sacred fire, heat stones, pull and pour water. Please note this is an eclectic earth lodge run according to the vision and interests of our community and will not be run according to any specific native and or tribal tradition. We believe all of the native peoples of the world share healing energy exclusive to none.
The ceremony and personal preparation for both sacred effort and the offering of self and voluntary sacrifice by personal work and sweat begins at 4:00pm. Please be sharp as once we open the lodge, we close the circle.
Those who have been to our last lodge, please do share the word about the energy and love, care and consideration that we also see in these events aside from the sweat!
RSVP is required, if you plan on attending you must call TYC for confirmation. There will be NO Walkins allowed as AWA is a private facility.
Once again, don't forget to bring a gallon of water to donate to the sweat.. also equally important, don't forget to take the bottle with you when you leave! Hehe, we ended up with empty bottles on the grounds which had to be cleaned up. As we honor the earth we want to practice "pack out what we pack in" philosophy.
Several people have expressed interest and questions relating to camping and staying over after the ceremony. Usually the ceremony does run a bit late so if you would like to do this that is fine. All we ask is that if you intend to camp over that you consult us as to placement for your tent and that you assist in the breakdown and clean up of the lodge area and bath house area before you break camp and depart. Additionally camp out what you camp in is our motto. Leave the grounds as pristine as you find them.
We look forward to seeing all our new and old friends!
