Kahe and hey everyone. This gathering and sweat is weekend after next. I know the weather is turning cool, but all the better to share the sacred fire, acknowledge the season and sweat together. I will be posting in the next couple days the theme for this coming sweat. Hope to see as many people as possible working together in ceremony!

Special Note for the November Gathering and Sweat: If you want to get a sweat in with us this year, please try to make this one!

We would like to invite you to a community ceremony for cleansing and purification performed in a traditional way. We have established an all nations or one nation lodge to honor the way for all tribes and nations. A beautiful twelve pole lodge with path to sacred fire is opened to those sincere individuals who wish to share and be blessed in this way.

As we are peoples from many and various backgrounds the lodge is set up and run in an eclectic fashion suitable for this purpose. This means elements of tradition are borrowed and incorporated from Crow, Ojibway, Lakota, Dakota, Cherokee, Huichol, Tarahumara and Rainbow traditions as described by Black Elk, Sun Bear, Floyd Realbird, Tarwater, Acasio Acatecatl Oltehua and Ed Mcgaa of Mother Earth Spirituality and other Earth aware and vision seeking sources.

Prayers will be made, Sacred fire fashioned and water poured in a good way. We begin and end with the pipe ceremony. This ceremony will be made clear for beginners and elders alike. I am offering the pipe to celebrate our 1 year anniversary hosting sacred events on the land here at Rose Hill. We will be invoking all the grand fathers and Grand Mothers to be with us for this ceremony. All good people are welcome. The Lodge will be co-ed. Wear appropriate clothing. Ask if you don't know.

We are also asking for as many as can do so, to make prayer ties for the lodge blessing as well. If you need help or don't know how to make prayer ties we will be giving instruction Saturday afternoon.

Everyone will be invited to participate.

As always we invite you to invite your friends and family who are interested in experiencing the healing power of the lodge with us. Just remember to have them sign up for the Meetup and RSVP ahead of time.

As always we are looking for volunteers to assist with set up duties ad responsibilities, smudging, Fire and Lodge covering etc. Please let us know if you would like to assist with any of these tasks.

There will be a pot luck feast as usual following the sweat.
